Freddie McGuire lives and works in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
From a very young age, Freddie has enjoyed making things out of wood and was bought his first tool kit at the age of seven and got his own lathe at 15 years old.
After leaving school at 16, Freddie completed an apprenticeship and successfully qualified a three year bench joinery course. Today, Freddie is a full time joiner, but has a fully equipped workshop at home, where he carries out his passion and hobby of ‘woodturning’. This is where Freddie is in his element and can be found every spare minute ‘turning’ high quality, beautiful, decorative bowls and accessories including goblets and boards. Beautifully created and finished with an array of recycled materials often donated by friends, family and local businesses Freddie is affectionately referred to in the area as ‘The Woodturner’.
Primarily selling at local trade shows, Freddie has received a tremendous response and demand for his work and as a result has recently launched his products online. Here more and more people can enjoy his products for themselves or as unique and stunning gifts for friends and family.
Freddie can also create custom-made pieces on request.
